WESTCOUNTRY CYCLE TRAINING

We are a Cycling Instructors Co-operative serving the Westcountry and offer a full path of cycling education for both children and adults. We not only deliver Bikeability training to the National Standard, but also run bike clubs, leisure rides and cycling events.

Our own training scheme is registered with the Department for Transport (DfT) and our instructors are linked to various Instructor Training Organisations (ITOs). We work closely together with local schools, school sport partnerships and local and regional authorities.

We are a flexible cycle training organisation and it is our aim to tailor our courses to suit both individual's requirements and organisation's requirements as much as possible!

Cycle Training for Children

Bikeability, formerly known as "Cycling Proficiency", is the only Government approved award for cycle training today. This scheme has been rolled out nationwide and is designed to give children the skills and confidence to cycle on today's roads. Certificates and badges are available for all three levels of ability.

Bike Clubs and Leisure Rides

Many children who complete Bikeability Level 2 need more practice to build up full confidence in their road cycling. We are proud to introduce a full path of cycling education which goes beyond the formal Bikeability training. Click here to learn about the types of bike clubs we offer.

Cycle Training for Adults

All our adult cycling courses are not only available to individuals, families and community groups, but also to companies who'd like to raise their environmental profile. More Info
